I am a character actor – a bit of a chameleon – with the ability to slip into an accent with ease. I’ve been lucky to play both heroes and villans alike and have engaged audiences with my portrayals of the likes of Kate Leigh (Razor Gang Wars); Clairee (Steel Magnolias), and Maria Portokalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
I have also been given the opportunity to play new characters in original plays by some of our marvellous Australian playwrights such as Alana Valentine, Brenda Gottsche and Luke Holmes. Roles like Gayle (Parramatta Girls); Sinead (How I Met My Mother), and Tracy Rineman (Resolution).
I have also had the privilege of acting in several award winning short films such as The Skydiver and the Scarecrow, as well as appearing in a number of television commercials.
What can I say, I’ve worked on stage and in front of camera - scripted, auto cue and adlib. I can relax my audience immediately as I have a larger than life personality - and I relate to all ages, young and old, having been a professional presenter, a coach and a teacher.
I feel privileged to have gained roles in both theatre and film, and have had the joy of working with some extremely professional people.
